Dance Addiction was set up in July 2005 by Jodie Martin a young, talented dancer who also had the unique ability to teach.

It started as eight friends together in a studio making up dances in their summer holidays. They soon realised they had something new and refreshing to offer to the dance community. From that summer, Dance Addiction took off as interest in the group increased and new members joined bringing with them their own style and personality.

Since then Dance Addiction has performed at local events and shows, have competed in the Mardi Gras Challenge 2006 at Sadlers Wells Theatre and has won the title of ‘Dance Off’ Winners 2007 at the Sutton schools ‘Dance Off’ held at Cheam High School. The ambitious troupe currently has 18 members and is ever growing; members range from 12 to 18 years of age and all have a background in dance training.

Dance Addiction is based in Wimbledon and although many of the members have experience in a range of dance styles the Dance Addiction class mainly focuses on street and Hip Hop dance.

Mission Statement:

“For every dancer to reach their full potential and have the opportunity to express their own creativity and ideas and share their achievements in performance.”

Dance Addiction are always looking for new venues/events to allow them to show off their exciting work in performances.
